Blaufast Thermally Insulated Ducting is designed for use with MVHR heat recovery ventilation systems. It is also suitable for any other centralised ventilation installations including Passivhaus systems and high energy performing buildings, due to its low thermal conductivity and ability to retain heat. It is also robust, extremely easy to install, with simple push fit connections that provide an airtight seal.
Use to connect from an MVHR, heat recovery ventilation unit to outside, as this dramatically reduces thermal bridging, further enhancing the energy efficiency of the system. Blaufast ducting can also be used as main ducts coming from the unit to supply & extract grilles, positioned around the home. Blaufast insulated ducting can also be installed on semi rigid radial duct systems connecting from a ventilation unit distribution boxes.
VERSATILE SYSTEM
Three common duct diameter sizes are available: 125, 160 & 200mm and supplied in 1m lengths. Additional adapters are available to marry up with European sizes such as 150 & 180mm diameter.
DURABLE AND ULTRA LIGHT
Durable and rigid material with smooth interior wall removes the risk of deformation of the duct during installation as well as reduces by half the pressure drop in comparison to flexible preinsulated ducts. This ensures a silent and cheaper operation.
EFFORTLESS CUTTING
Cutting the duct has never been easier. A simple serrated edge knife can be used to cut along the ridges, conveniently placed along the duct, are marked at 50mm increments. Markers (every 5 cm) help cut the pipe to required length. Wall thickness of only 17 mm lets you easily cut the pipe, using a simple knife.
