BPEC, is a nationally recognised training academy that provides an assortment of training courses and qualifications including a Domestic Ventilation Systems Course. If you are a builder, electrician, plumber or simply want to install your own heat recovery ventilation system then this is the course for you.
Why do i need to be a Certified Heat Recovery Ventilation Installer?
Domestic ventilation became 'Notifiable Work' on 1st October 2010 as part of the 2010 revision to Approved Document F of the Building Regulations. This means ventilation provision in new homes must be commissioned by a suitably qualified person. The changes to these regulations essentially create a new vocation - Domestic Ventilation Installer, for which there has been no specific qualification until now.
This 2 day course will enable candidates to install and/or inspect the four common ventilation systems defined in Part F and to commission and handover the system. It will also provide an understanding of all the legal issues surrounding the installation of these systems and guidance on completion and submission of all the appropriate notifications.
What does the course include?
The course covers part F of the building regulations guidelines for domestic ventilation systems and focuses on the four main types, with a large proportion of the time dedicated to looking at MVHR systems, installation and commissioning (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery).
