SEO Assistant
Salary: £25,000 per annum

Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

We are excited to offer a new opportunity for a young, ambitious individual to join our team as an SEO Assistant. This role is ideal for someone with a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment, working closely with various departments including Sales, Marketing, and Web Development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of SEO strategies to improve website rankings and visibility.
- Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for content optimisation.
- Perform on-page and off-page SEO tasks, including meta tag creation, link building, and content optimisation.
- Regularly analyse website performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Semrush.
- Produce reports on SEO statistics, interpreting data to inform and enhance SEO strategies.
- Collaborate with the Web Development team to ensure SEO best practices are implemented on the website.
- Stay up to date with the latest SEO trends and search engine algorithm updates.
Requirements:
- No previous work experience is required, but a strong interest in SEO and a willingness to learn are essential.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, and website optimisation.
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency and competence through practical examples, such as personal projects or coursework.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, particularly in analysing data and reporting on SEO performance.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to collaborate with different departments to achieve SEO goals.
Recommended Experience:
While no formal work experience is required, the following experiences or skills are highly recommended and will help demonstrate your potential for success in this role:
- Personal Projects or Freelance Work: Experience creating and optimising your own website or blog, or doing freelance SEO work.
- Online Courses and Certifications: Completing SEO courses from platforms like Coursera, Udemy, or HubSpot Academy, and obtaining certifications in Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Semrush, and Magento.
- Practical SEO Experience: Involvement in keyword research, content optimisation, and basic SEO audits.
- Portfolio of Work: A collection of work samples, such as optimised web pages, SEO reports, or keyword research documentation.
- Basic Coding Skills: Understanding of HTML/CSS, which is useful for on-page SEO tasks and website optimisation.
- Analytical Skills: Experience with data analysis, particularly related to website performance and search engine rankings.
