Nightingale Hospitals - Blauberg UK play their part for our NHS - 2020
In March 2020 after the World Health Organisation declared Covid19 a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, the UK government announced seven temporary NHS hospitals to be prepared across the country with immediate effect. The Nightingale Hospitals.

- Birmingham – the National Exhibition Centre
- Bristol – the Exhibition and Conference Centre on University of West England’s (UWE) Frenchay Campus
- Exeter – a former retail outlet in Sowton
- Yorkshire – Harrogate Convention Centre
- Manchester – the Manchester Central Convention Complex
- Washington, Sunderland – the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing
NHS Nightingale Yorkshire and the Humber based at Harrogate Convention Centre was declared to provide 500 additional critical care beds should they be needed during the pandemic.
The Hospital was built and mobilised by a team of specialists from partner hospitals and NHS bodies from across the region with the support of the British Army and is being hosted by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Edmundson Electrical were a key partner in the building of several the Nightingale Hospitals nationwide. For the Harrogate Convention Centre site - Edmundson Electrical in Loughborough played a crucial role in some final product sourcing for ventilation solutions and Blauberg UK were their first choice.
Hospitals require a continuous supply of clean air and as the summer months were approaching fast it was essential the building was fitted with reliable fans capable of moving high volumes of air.
