What is PinkGuard™ insulated flexible ducting?

What size ducting do I need?
Choose the diameter specified by the fan, unit or ventilation design. Do not reduce the duct size simply to suit an existing route. PinkGuard™ is available in 100mm (4 inch), 125mm (5 inch) and 150mm (6 inch).
What is included in a PinkGuard™ ducting kit?
Each kit includes a 5m length of insulated flexible ducting with tape, gloves and clips for installation.

Can it be used with MVHR, MEV and dMEV systems?
Yes, where the system design specifies a compatible duct diameter and flexible ducting is suitable for that part of the route. Always follow the unit manufacturer’s guidance and the project specification.
Does insulated ducting help reduce noise?
Yes. The NRC 0.65 insulation helps absorb fan, airflow and duct-borne sound around the route. Actual installed performance will depend on the fan, airflow, duct length, bends and installation.
When should I use rigid or semi-rigid ducting instead?
Rigid or semi-rigid ducting is generally preferred for longer, straight runs where low airflow resistance is the priority. Flexible ducting should be kept as short and straight as practical and used only where it suits the system design.
